Super tasty schnitzel and hearty portions. Unfortunately only open in the evening.
Very good ambience, especially the food is excellent and recommendable
Price / performance top! Who does not attach great importance to chic, on the plate. He gets big portions for a small price.
Well.
A visit to the railway embankment is always worthwhile; food and drink are excellent.
This restaurant is old, filthy and run down. The smoke and fat of the past 30 years hangs on the walls. You wait an eternity for your food. If you order with more than two people, then you have to eat with a time delay because the provisional mini kitchen has no capacity for a slightly larger order. The cutlets are average, the sauces from Maggi. It's not worth it. The very nice landlord and his wife should start thinking about retirement.
Quaint atmosphere, nice host, beer with a beautiful head and the best cordon bleu far and wide!
Food (schnitzel) were delicious. Fried potatoes as well. Encouraged with owner chatted about old times. As has already been written, you wait a little longer. But it's worth it.
Very friendly hosts where you still have time for the people. Down to earth food. The only drawback: fried potatoes not fresh and not well fried. Salad outstanding!
Always a real treat and an absolute must when visiting Gießen! ???
quaint old pub, no fancy food!
Great food in a rustic atmosphere with an original behind the counter and in the service highly recommended
Very good Schnitzel eaten with salad like from grandma Very nice and talkative host. Met interesting guests. It was a great evening. Thank you and see you soon ??
First had the salad ... but I know the operation for a long time ...... honestly through the whole operation ... down to earth and delicious at fair economic prices
Very old pub with huge portions, which were delicious. Very nice owner.
Great old German restaurant, still in the old style. I loved it.
Great! Just as casting was earlier. Great schnitzel and big beers at fair prices.
Great food, great atmosphere and very friendly restaurant owner
Despite a long wait, you can eat well here. If you are still looking for good food in Germany and do not always want to go to the Greek or anywhere, you have to eat here.
I have known this place since I was born. My mom and dad celebrated their wedding here, and as kids we're always in my uncle's pub (formerly run by my grandfather, of course). This pub is just like my grandpa left it back then and that's a good thing. The food lasts a bit longer but for me it's the best Schnitzel ?. I live now almost 500 km far but removes a visit to my uncle and my aunt must be.
Cult, not just for students. Time has stood still here since the 70s, but the schnitzel is unbeatable
Very good German cuisine. Great home cooking, but you should bring time, here the clocks run even slower and this also makes it something special.
